About Me
Hi, and welcome to My Author Page! I'm Jessica Scachetti, and I want to tell you a little bit about me.
First and foremost, I'm a child of God. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for our sins and that we all can receive salvation through Him. You can read my personal testimony under the 'My Testimony' tab to see what inspired my faith and me to write Christian books.
I'm an author of Christian Romance with a Twist. You can see the 'My Books' tab above to learn more information about what I write, as well as links to my books.
I originally hail from Oklahoma. I was born in a small-ish Air Force town near the border of Texas. Most of my family still resides in OK, but I'm currently living with my husband and our children in New Jersey.
The Air Force is how I ended up in NJ where I met and fell in love with my husband. Our story is quite the tale. He had "rescued" me from the airport when I arrived-an 18 year old girl with no phone, no money and never having been alone in a big city. He was friends and had served in the AF with my sister at the time, who had sent this young man I'd never met to come and pick me up when she got delayed. He found me in tears, standing by a pay phone trying to make collect calls, to no avail. When he approached me, I threw him for a loop when I wrapped him in a great big hug and thanked him for saving me. He and I dated shortly after, and he was my first kiss and my first love. We married over a year later and have two precious sons together. Scachettis Est 2005
In my spare time from working and writing, I make and sell hand-poured soy candles. I took up candle-making as a hobby during Lockdown in 2020 and turned it into a local business.
I also enjoy singing, dancing, RV camping, movies, reading and worshiping the Lord.
I like to indulge in a warm cup of tea or a relaxing glass of wine.
I'm also the proud dog mom of a French bulldog, a pug and a papillon-chihuahua mix.
Matthew c. 22 v. 37-39
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
